Bordubet Bay Marmaris

I recently had the chance to visit Bordubet Bay, located in the beautiful Gulf of Gokova near Marmaris Turkey. Let me tell you, this place is a hidden gem and I’m so glad I stumbled upon it. Marmaris waterpark

The Nature Of Bördübet

First of all, the setting is absolutely stunning. Nestled between forested hills and mountains, Bordubet Bay boasts crystal clear waters and a calm, secure shelter from strong winds. As a natural port, it’s a popular spot for boat captains and water sports enthusiasts. In fact, during my visit, I took part in some canoeing and sea kayaking and it was an absolute blast.

But the beauty of Bordubet Bay extends beyond the water. The area is home to a wide variety of birds, and the name “Bordubet” actually comes from the English translation “Birds’ Bed”, given by English soldiers who stayed in the cove during a war and were charmed by the constant chirping of the birds. The peaceful sound of birds singing filled the air during my entire visit, making it a truly serene and relaxing experience.

What To Do In Bördübet?

In addition to water sports and birdwatching, Bordubet Bay offers plenty of other activities for nature lovers. There are miles of forest trails to explore, perfect for hiking and trekking, and the Carian trail is particularly beautiful. There are also opportunities for fishing, cycling, and mountain biking. And be sure to make your way to the viewpoint and complex, where you can enjoy stunning views of the Gulf of Gokova from the beach, restaurant, and terrace.

Bördübet Hotels

But the real highlight of Bordubet Bay for me was the unique accommodation options like Bördübet Golden Key. The forest camp, also known as “glamping”, is a luxurious take on camping that offers all the comforts of a hotel in a stunning natural setting. And the boutique hotel is equally as impressive, nestled in a beautiful environment.

Getting to Bordubet Bay is fairly easy, as it’s just a short drive from Marmaris or Dalaman Airport. You can also take public transportation, with midibuses available from Marmaris to Degirmenyani village and Bordubet.

Overall, I highly recommend a visit to Bordubet Bay for anyone looking to experience the beauty and tranquility of nature. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed!
