Turkey tourism welcomed a total of 47,601,580 visitors during the first 11 months of 2022 during tourism seasons, according to the Turkey’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Germany was the country that sent the most visitors, followed by the Russian Federation and the United Kingdom. According to the data from January to November 2022, a total of 42,164,954 foreign visitors came to Turkey. Turkey tourism is on the increase of 84.77% compared to the same period the previous year.
In November, the number of foreign visitors also increased by 44.64% compared to the same month the previous year, reaching 2,551,483.
In the ranking of countries sending the most visitors during the first 11 months of the year, Germany ranked first with 5,481,385 visitors, the Russian Federation ranked second with 4,945,198 visitors, and the United Kingdom ranked third with 3,301,112 visitors. Bulgaria and Iran followed the United Kingdom.
In the ranking of countries sending the most visitors to Turkey in November 2022, the Russian Federation ranked first with 312,486 visitors, Bulgaria ranked second with 232,709 visitors, and Germany ranked third with 207,340 visitors.
